Poker game

Poker is a test of your skills and strategic abilities.  Whether you are playing for fun or money the aim of the game is to win.

There are many varieties of Poker games but the games played most in casinos, card rooms and the internet are 'Big five  - Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 card stud  and 7 card stud Hi/Lo. Even though there are many varieties they all follow the same basic rule format.

* All players must contribute to a central 'pot' that contains either play chips or chips that represent actual money.

* Players are dealt cards, this is called a 'hand', some or all of the cards dealt will be concealed.

* Wagers are made by each player dependant on the strength of the hand they are holding by rounds of betting.

* Once all bets are over the player with the strongest hand or the last player still standing after all the other players have folded - wins!

Once you Know these basic rules all that is left to be able to play the game is the ability to bluff your apponents.  Once you have mastered this skill then there is no stopping you, very soon you could be a master Poker player.
